Tom grew up in New York s Hudson Valley and played drums and guitar in several hardcore and thrash bands in the early 1990s The Postcard is his first novel His second novel is The Bell He has also written two academic book, Cinema of Confinement Northwestern University Press and Capturing Digital Media Perfection and Imperfection in Contemporary Film and Television Bloomsbury Academic.
